That's a really impressive piece of work - especially as you haven't
visited the place!

Portmeirion isn't a trivial place to model - you've done really well.

I'll need to find a friend who has that game now, and play it for
real.

That was fun. I liked the campanile at its dizzying height! Wonder what
CW-E would have thought.

Considering you haven't been to Portmeirion your CGI recreation is
remarkably close! You've certainly captured the look of the Village,
although viewing it on screen from the perspective of someone running
around with live ammo and knives is a bit unsettling. No wonder the
tourists are in hiding! ;-)

Hello Folks

This is stunning! I can see this being played as Fall Out:The
Aftermath. There are survivors of No.6 destruction of The Village core
power centers by the Blue Streak launch of No.1 who wander a Village
armed with the weapons of the gaurds of The Elite Warders from The
Well Come Room. They are trying to survive with all facades of The
Villages civility gone. Even the penchent of charcters dying and
returning to life in such games is addressed in such senarios by
principles in The Prisoner by the life restoring technology applied to
No.2 in Fall Out. I suppose the almost all powerful Rover would be
able to have survived also by some means a regeneration but is even
more terrifying with no one to call off the pernament Orange Alert.
This would indeed be a Free For All.

Hi Tomm,

You do realise that The Prisoner is allegorical?

One could argue that "The Village" et al, cease to exist once Number
Six returns to his home in London.

Taking the "cyclical" argument to its natural conclusion, it could, of
course, reappear exactly as it was before!

Admittedly, it would make for a rubbish game though. ;-))

Hello Al

Yes I know that The Prisoner is a Al legorical. :) As for the cyclical
nature of the story that will just spare the computer software folks
the trouble of building in a "reset" button for the game.;)

Hello Roger

Thank you for commenting on my humble little post. I assume that there
is also a minority that does comment on the Al legorical nature of our
fav Prisoner.

I remember commenting on the Al Goreical nature of Free For All and
the 2000 U.S. Presidential elections and all the shenanigans that we
Yanks felt were being pulled on us (Al Goreical is now off battling
other Inconvenient Truths).:) Loading Image...

I feel as though I've now actually been Portmerion. There were times
that it was uncanny as I was reminded of certain scenes in TP. I'm
not usually one for computer games except the different solitaires
like "FreeCell". I suppose you could have a sheriff's star as one
weapon of choice as a tribute to Living In Harmony. I don't carry a
gun but I really liked the shots of the canon and I would wait until I
see the white in Rover's eye before I shoot; keeping my eye on the
ball. Even the circle out effect felt like the original series scene
changes

Fantastic detail. Thanks for this contribution. Blessings on this
venture.

It certainly is stunning work, well done! Don't suppose there's a chance of
an Unreal Tournament port of the map?
